A virtual commission appointment is a similar process to an in person appointment. The only difference is that you and your notary will communicate over the internet. You do not have to meet in person. Here is a quick guide to the commissioning process.
Send your documents unsigned to notary@canadanotary.ca
In the same email please include a selfie holding valid photo identification so we can verify your identification and signature. In the same email please provide any additional instructions for the notary public. Please provide your availability for signing and required turnaround time. (Optional: provide mailing address for hard copy to be sent)
Send your $35 email transfer payment to notary@canadanotary.ca. If you require multiple commissions or if there are extra charges the notary public will advise by email if additional funds are required.
The completed commissioned pdf document will be sent to you after signing by hellosign complete with an audit trail and Time stamped and you original hard copy will mailed out to you.
Connect with a licensed notary online in just minutes – secure, affordable, and fully digital.
Your Commissioner must see you as well as hear you. This means that you will need an internet connection that can handle video. Data connections may not be suitable for this. It’s best to use WiFi or a cabled connection.
You’ll also need a computer with a webcam and a microphone (some webcams have in-build microphones) or a tablet with a front-facing camera. In principle, you can use a cellphone but you may find this too small to be comfortable. If you use a tablet (or cellphone) you may find it best to use a stand.
Your commissioner will validate your identity online. You’ll be given advice on what documents are needed for this.
No refunds all sales final!
